Baby signs

I keep forgetting to write this:
Since about a week Bram finally started using the baby signs I have been teaching him!
He understood many signs perfectly well, but now we finally see him actually using them.

He can do: frog (the first one I noticed), horse, bird and fish...

And waving goodbye, but somehow I don't see that as a baby sign. But I guess it is.

Flowers

Some pictures from the past two weeks...

We went to visit cousin Koen. Koen taught Bram how to crawl on his knees (although he still prefers his own silly-crawl) and to clap his hands. Bram tried to teach Koen how to point at everything, but Koen ignored this...

Lat weekend we went to the Keukenhof with our friend Katherine.
Long lines on the entrance road, very long lines for the restrooms...
But gorgeous flowers!

Katherine brought these cool pirate shoes for Bram!

Magic Ball part 2

I posted before about the Magic Ball swap.
We've done it again, and mine arrived today, yay!

The first peek in the box:

The ball was packed in a purple plant pot (will fit perfectly in our purple bedroom!), which was packed in a handmade bag which shouts: spring is in the air!

The box also contained knitting magazines and a fairytale book for Bram.
How thoughtful!

The ball itself is made of very nice blue bamboo-yarn (78% bamboo, 22% cotton). Very very soft! I need to think of a project real quick, because more presents are hidden and I want to know what they are!!! I can already see some stitchmarkers, and a travelguide... So exciting!

Tank you thank you thank you dear 'Spooky'!!!

More than rabbits

We're back!
We had a wonderful time in/on Rabbit Hill.
Lots of rabbits indeed, but also lots of squirrels and birds around the house, and deer in the woods nearby. And ants IN the house... )-:

We went out for some really nice hikes, had dinner in the restaurant in the park once (once was enough, even though we could get a deal for a second meal. It was ok, but a little too much Van der Valk to my taste), went swimming twice, went shopping in Apeldoorn (three pairs of shoes! two for me of course, I AM a girl... And I needed new shoes, none of my old shoes fit anymore since I had Bram. My feet are a full size bigger!), went to Wildpark het Aardhuis where we saw the cutest baby-piggies ever, knitted a lot, read a lot, saw a lot of movies on the movie channel, and went to the monkey-zoo de Apenheul where a lot of monkeys walk free between the visitors and where they all have big spaces with fabulous climbing constructions...

Bram enjoyed playing with sticks and twigs, so I made this collage of the sticks and twigs he found these past few days:

'look mom!'; hike in the forest; very big twig!
multi-tasking: poking-with-stick-in-bag-while-eating-cookie; yummm... ice cream on a stick; sticks are more fun than monkeys!

And while I am at it (I kinda like Picasa (-: ), here's another collage I call 'Baby and the beasts':

looking for bugs; pigs and deer in the 'Aardhuis'; look dad, rabbits!; monkeys in de Apenheul

And here's Bram having fun in the restaurant:

And his first time in a swimming pool:
