Magic Ball Swap fall 2007

I know it is winter now.
It says 'fall 2007', because that's when we did the exchange...
My MBM (Magische Bol Maatje) sent me the neverending magic ball!

This is when I received the ball.
Bram helped me open the package, and managed to rip the cute card before I could stop him...
I LOVED the colors of the yarn, and decided I needed a new pair of mittens to liven up my new grey wintercoat...

After finishing the first mitten and finding some lovely green tea and body lotion, the ball somehow did not seem smaller...
While working on the second mitten, I found more tea, stitch markers and a little luck-charm-pin, but the ball was still BIG. I didn't think a scarf was possible, so I decided to make a matching neckwarmer, based on the Tudora from the new Knitty.

(I changed the button later to a bigger one)
I liked the result, but:

She inspired me to make a little pouch like this one, surely there would be enough yarn for one or two... Well, I made FIVE of them, and still the ball wasn't finished!
But four of the pouches were very useful for me (to store my stitchmarkers) and filled with some candy as Christmas presents...

I used the last bit of yarn (finally uncovering the scented candle, 'winternight', that made the yarn smell so nice) to make a tiny sweater for in the Christmas tree (also an idea of one of the other participants, thanks Mincka!). And then there was no yarn left, I even needed to use a piece of scrap yarn to sew the sweater... Just a lot of presents and handknit stuff! Yay!
Thank you so much MBM!
I still haven't guessed who you are, but my shortlist is down to four (-;

I still have the fifth pouch... If you like it, leave a comment before January 15.
If I draw your name it will become yours!

Ballorig

A quickie.
Last Tuesday Bram and I went to Ballorig in Zaandam, one of those big indoor playgrounds, to meet up with a few of his friends. We had a blast! He loves to climb and slide and if the playground needs someone to put all the balls back in the 'ballenbak' at the end of the day: Bram is your man!
